QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • My 9 yr old shih tzu has been getting acupuncture for disc problems for almost two years along with an herbal joint supplement. Recently she was diagnosed with a torn ligament /muscle under her kneecap and her vet prescribed this product with continued weekly acupuncture. Is this helpful for healing ?I trust the vet completely but was wondering as everything I read does not indicate muscle healing

Hi! Thank you for your question!

Vets trained in TCVM who have examined the animal are the best ones to determine the right herbal formula since herbal use is so nuanced. This formula can help support the liver; in Chinese Medicine, the liver controls ligaments. That could be why the vet chose this formula. The formula also supports weakness and loss of balance.

However, it's always good to confirm with your vet if you have any questions about how the herbal formula works in your pet's individual condition.

  • My 14 year old dog has suddenly come down with Canine Vestibular Syndrome. Is this the right product for her? She does not have any underlying issues. Just an old dog. Loss of balance, head tilt and disoriented are her main symptoms. She is eating and drinking. Thank You

    Thank you for your email!

Yes, it is the right product, and as long as your vet agrees. We also have a blog about it, here's the link: https://whiteoakvet.com/herbal-supplements-for-an-aging-dog-losing-balance/

However, we require herbal authorization for all herbal purchases. To request authorization from your vet click here: https://tcvmpet.com/pages/get-an-authorization.
