Recommended by holistic veterinarians, Jing Tang Stasis Breaker - the concentrated form of Qu Yu Fang - is a potent Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) formula that breaks Blood stasis, softens hardness, clears Heat toxins, and supports the body's natural ability to resolve masses in dogs, cats, and horses. A modification of the classical Nei Xiao Wan, this six-herb formula combines strong stasis-breaking herbs with hardness-softening and Heat-clearing agents to address chronic stagnation, poor circulation, and abnormal growths at the root. Available in concentrated powder, concentrated capsules, tincture, standard powder, and teapills. Dosing varies by species, body weight, and health condition; your authorizing veterinarian will determine the appropriate dose following a TCVM evaluation.

Each herb in Stasis Breaker plays a targeted role in breaking Blood stasis, softening hardness, and clearing Heat toxins:
Stasis Breaker contains potent Blood-moving and stasis-breaking herbs (E Zhu, San Leng) alongside Heat-clearing and toxin-resolving herbs (Bai Hua She She Cao, Ban Zhi Lian) that may interact with certain medications. Pets on prescription medications should use this formula under veterinary supervision, as herb-drug interaction research in dogs and cats remains limited.
Medication categories warranting extra caution include anticoagulant or antiplatelet medications, chemotherapy agents, corticosteroids or immunosuppressive drugs, NSAIDs, cardiac medications, and pets managing multiple concurrent prescriptions. Your veterinarian can determine appropriateness based on your pet's condition, current medications, and laboratory results.

Stasis Breaker is most commonly recommended for dogs, cats, and horses with TCVM patterns of Blood stasis with Heat accumulation and hardness. Holistic veterinarians frequently prescribe it for pets with chronic stagnation, poor circulation, or abnormal growths where the underlying pattern involves Blood stasis and Heat toxin accumulation. Because this is a potent formula, it is not appropriate for pregnant or weak animals - your veterinarian will confirm whether it is the right fit for your pet following a TCVM evaluation. A milder alternative, Max Formula (B2022), is available for pets that cannot tolerate the full Stasis Breaker formula.
Dosing varies by species, body weight, and health condition; your authorizing veterinarian will determine the appropriate dose following a TCVM evaluation. For dogs and cats using 0.5g concentrated capsules, the general guideline is one capsule per 20 to 40 lbs of body weight twice daily. For small dogs and cats under 10 lbs, one 0.2g capsule once daily is typical. For the 90g concentrated powder, the dose for dogs and cats is 0.1g to 0.25g per 10 to 20 lbs twice daily; the included small scoop holds approximately 0.3g. For the tincture, the dose for small dogs and cats is 10 drops per 5 to 10 lbs of body weight twice daily; each full dropper holds approximately 20 drops. Store the tincture in the refrigerator for best results. For horses, the standard dose is 3g (approximately 2.5 large scoops) twice daily as a top dressing on feed. You may use this formula alongside Wei Qi Booster.
Response time varies depending on the individual pet, the severity and chronicity of the Blood stasis pattern, and the format used. Some pets may respond within a few weeks, while those with more established or chronic stasis patterns may require several months of consistent use. The manufacturer recommends use for up to 6 months. Regular follow-up with your holistic veterinarian is recommended to monitor progress, assess response, and adjust dosing as needed.
Stasis Breaker is sometimes used alongside other TCVM formulas - including Wei Qi Booster - as part of a comprehensive protocol, but combination use should always be guided by your authorizing veterinarian. If your pet is on prescription medications - particularly anticoagulants, chemotherapy agents, NSAIDs, or immunosuppressants - your veterinarian will evaluate whether Stasis Breaker is appropriate given your pet's full health picture and current treatment plan. Do not use in pregnant or weak animals. If your pet experiences diarrhea, vomiting, or other unusual signs, stop use immediately and contact your veterinarian.
