Why do you need a vet’s recommendation?
Thank you for your question! The manufacturer, Jing Tang, requires us to keep a veterinary authorization on file for all Jing Tang Herbal orders.
This is because there are hundreds of herbal formulas, and if the wrong formula is chosen, the herbal formula may only help the pet a little bit. When the proper formula is chosen for the pet's individual characteristics, much more improvement is seen. We want to make sure all pets use the proper formulas.
If you need a vet, here is the list provided by the Chi Institute of their vets (most TCVM vets went to the Chi Institute and use Jing Tang herbs) if you want to search further: http://www.tcvm.com/Resources/FindaTCVMPractitioner.aspx
Maybe the list can help you find a TCVM vet in your area. If not, you can contact one of our vets. Our vets provide telemedicine through their clinics at www.franklintnvet.com or www.whiteoakvet.com.
If you have any other questions or if we can help you in any way, just let us know!
Is this safe for cats with renal and heart problems? I have to be careful with potassium, sodium, protein and crude oil levels in anything because of her renal issues. Is this available in the uk also? And would my vet in the uk be able to say it's okay?
Thanks for your question! The only contraindication associated with Bone Stasis is pregnancy, but we recommend checking with your vet, as they know your pet's condition and constitution better than anyone else! If you have a veterinarian that will authorize your purchase, you can request authorization here: https://tcvmpet.com/pages/get-an-authorization
Then, you can email us at info@tcvmpet.com with your address and we will look into whether the UK allows import of Eastern herbals. We will also get an estimate of the cost to ship the herbs internationally. Thanks for supporting Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine!
