Active Ingredient TCVM Actions

Each herb in Stasis Breaker is selected for its specific role within the TCVM framework. Their combined actions break Blood stasis, soften hardness, clear Heat and toxins, and support the body's natural resolution of masses and physical accumulations.

  • Bai Hua She She Cao (Hedyotis diffusa) - Spreading Hedyotis / Snake-Needle Grass: Clears Heat, resolves toxins, and supports the body's natural immune defenses; a key herb for Heat toxin patterns
  • Ban Zhi Lian (Scutellaria barbata) - Barbat Skullcap / Half-Lotus: Clears Heat, resolves toxins, invigorates Blood, and reduces swelling; works with Bai Hua She She Cao as a classic Heat-toxin-clearing pair
  • E Zhu (Curcuma zedoaria) - Zedoary Rhizome / White Turmeric: Breaks Blood stasis, moves Qi, and dissolves accumulations and masses; one of the two primary stasis-breaking herbs in this formula
  • Mu Li Shu (Ostrea gigas, calcined) - Calcined Oyster Shell: Softens hardness, dissipates nodules, and anchors Yang; the primary hardness-softening herb in this formula
  • San Leng (Sparganium stoloniferum) - Sparganium Rhizome / Bur-Reed Rhizome: Breaks Blood stasis, moves Qi, and dissolves hard masses; works with E Zhu as a classic stasis-breaking pair for dissolving hard accumulations
  • Zhe Bei Mu (Fritillaria thunbergii) - Zhejiang Fritillaria Bulb / Thunberg Fritillary: Clears Heat, transforms Phlegm, and dissipates nodules; works with Mu Li to soften hardness and support the body's natural resolution of masses

Potential Drug Interactions

Stasis Breaker contains several potent Chinese herbs, including strongly Blood-invigorating, stasis-breaking, and Heat-clearing herbs (notably E Zhu and San Leng) with known cardiovascular, immune-modulating, and anti-inflammatory activity. Because herb-drug interaction research in dogs and cats is limited, pets taking prescription medications should use this formula under veterinary supervision.

Extra caution may be appropriate for pets receiving anticoagulant or antiplatelet medications, corticosteroids or immunosuppressive drugs, chemotherapy agents, NSAIDs, cardiac medications, or multiple prescription medications. Your veterinarian can determine whether Stasis Breaker is appropriate based on your pet's condition, medications, and laboratory results.

Bottle comes with less product.

I use max formula and concentrated stasis breaker. This is a very good product, has kept the mast cell tumors at bay. The only issue I have is the stasis breaker has less in it than the max formula. Happens with every order. I weighed the bottles the last time, was missing an ounce. This stuff cost too much money to be shorted.

Stasis breaker capsules

I had been using the tincture but when it ran out I switched to the capsules. It seems to be helping Pepper to maintain his status in the face of nasal cancer. I find the capsules are pretty easy to give especially if you put a little butter on them to make them go down easier.

Maureen, thank you for taking the time to leave us a 5-star review I am really sorry Pepper has nasal cancer. I am glad the Chinese herbs are offering some comfort to you and Pepper during a challenging time. The butter is a great tip! Some pets are unable to consume tinctures or powder and your review will spread awareness to their guardians about the ease of giving capsules. Thank you again. Sincerely, Samantha

Maybe if I had started him on them sooner?

My dog died 4 days after starting him on the Jing tang supplements, so I can’t really say they were helpful. He was 6 weeks in since his lymphoma diagnosis.
