Rehmannia 14 expands the classical Rehmannia 8 base with additional herbs to address Yin, Qi, and Yang deficiency simultaneously:
Rehmannia 14 contains potent Yang-warming herbs and Qi tonics, including Fu Zi (Aconite) and Huang Qi (Astragalus), which may affect cardiac function, immune modulation, and drug metabolism. Pets currently on prescription medications should use this formula under veterinary supervision, as herb-drug interaction research in dogs and cats remains limited.
Medication categories warranting extra caution include cardiac medications, immunosuppressive drugs, diuretics, hormone or thyroid therapies, and pets managing multiple concurrent prescriptions. Note that this formula may cause a positive result on drug tests; consult your veterinarian before administering to animals involved in racing or competition. Your veterinarian can determine appropriateness based on your pet's condition, current medications, and laboratory results.

In Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine, Rehmannia 14 is indicated for complex deficiency patterns involving simultaneous Yin, Qi, and Yang deficiency. It is commonly recommended for dogs, cats, and horses with endocrine conditions such as Cushing's disease, Addison's disease, hypothyroidism, or diabetes, as well as aging animals with mixed deficiency signs including fatigue, dryness, heat or cold intolerance, and immune dysregulation.
Rehmannia 6 (Liu Wei Di Huang Wan) nourishes Kidney Yin only. Rehmannia 8 (Jin Gui Shen Qi Wan) adds Yang-warming herbs to address Kidney Yang deficiency alongside Yin. Rehmannia 14 further expands the formula with Qi tonics (Huang Qi), additional Yin-nourishing herbs (Mai Men Dong, Wu Wei Zi), and Heat-clearing herbs (Huang Bai, Zhi Mu) to address the full spectrum of Yin-Qi-Yang deficiency, making it particularly suited for complex endocrine and immune patterns. Your authorizing veterinarian will determine which formula best matches your pet's TCVM pattern.
Mix the concentrated powder directly into wet or dry food at each meal using the included double-sided scoop. You can give capsules whole or open them and sprinkle the contents over food. You can hide Teapills in food or a soft treat. Dosing is based on species and body weight; your authorizing veterinarian will confirm the correct dose and schedule. Do not use during pregnancy, and do not administer prior to racing or competition, as this formula may cause a positive drug test result.
Results vary depending on the severity and chronicity of the condition. Many pet owners begin to notice improvements in energy, coat quality, thirst, urination patterns, and overall vitality within 4 to 8 weeks of consistent use. This formula is recommended for use up to 3 months; your veterinarian will guide reassessment intervals based on your pet's response and laboratory results.
