Eucommia and Rehmannia Combination draws its Yin-preserving and Essence-tonifying core from Rehmannia Eight Combination (Ba Wei Di Huang Wan), then adds stronger Yang-tonifying herbs for a more focused and potent Kidney Yang tonic effect. Each herb plays a precise role in warming, tonifying, and preserving Kidney Yang and Essence.
Eucommia and Rehmannia Combination contains several potent Chinese herbs, including strongly warming Yang tonics (notably prepared Aconite root and Cinnamon bark) and Yin-nourishing herbs with known cardiovascular, renal, and endocrine activity. Because herb-drug interaction research in dogs and cats is limited, pets taking prescription medications should use this formula under veterinary supervision. Avoid use in animals with Dampness.
Extra caution may be appropriate for pets receiving cardiac medications, thyroid medications, reproductive hormones, urinary medications, or multiple prescription medications. Your veterinarian can determine whether Eucommia and Rehmannia Combination is appropriate based on your pet's condition, medications, and laboratory results.
