Can I get the dmb percentage of zing...
Thank you for your question! PET | TAO Zing has 22% Dry Matter in the can (100% total - 78% moisture).
The Dry Matter percentage can be found by dividing each as fed nutrient percentage on the label by the percentage of dry matter in the can and then multiplying by 100.
Protein: (10% / 22%) x 100 = 45% Protein on a Dry Matter basis
Fat: (6% / 22%) x 100 = 27% Fat on a Dry Matter basis
Fiber: (1% / 22%) x 100 = 4.5% Fiber on a Dry Matter basis
Is there any way to buy a few cans to try first...my Maltipoo has a sensitive tummy and is very picky Is this a paté food
Thank you for your question! We can only sell this item in cases of 12. Fortunately, we very rarely have returns because the dog won't eat the food. This food is a pate. However, it's possible some dogs may not eat the product. We offer a 100% guarantee on all PET | TAO products. You can view our refund policy here in case your dog doesn't enjoy the Zing formula. My dog suffers from cancer and moderate kidney disease. She has just recently become "picky" about what she will eat, however, she still has a strong appetite. Which of your formulas might work best for these issues?
Thank you for your question! We're sorry your dog suffers from cancer. One of the five branches of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine is Eastern Food Therapy. A common tenet of Eastern Food Therapy is a Blood-building diet can support dogs with cancer. We recommend Zing for dogs with cancer, and usually they enjoy the flavor! If your dog doesn't like Zing, we accept returns, and you can view our refund policy here. Other products we carry that support dogs with cancer are Complement Immune, Max's Formula, Stasis Breaker, and Liver Treats. Also, we have a free ebook about dog cancer you can download here. It was written by PET | TAO's vets. We hope you enjoy it, and please let us know if you have any questions.
So, my dog is 105#. Does that mean he is supposed to have 7 cans of food/day?! That's nearly $30/day?! It doesn't seem right. What am I missing?
Thank you for your question! The recommend daily feeding amount of PET | TAO canned formulas is one can for each 15lbs of your dog's weight. However, that's just an estimate. Some dogs will eat less than the recommend amount depending on their age, activity level, and whether or not they are spayed or neutered. It is possible your dog won't need 7 cans to maintain his weight. Another option that may cost less than buying the canned food is making the formula yourself in a crock pot. hello, am i able to give your canned formulas and / or freeze-dried formulas to my cat in appropriate amounts? i have been searching for an energetically sound and species-appropriate food for her for over a decade and i am so happy to have found your organ treats which she loves, so am very much hoping the foods would be ok for her also. thanks so much
Thank you for your question, and we are so glad your kitty likes PET | TAO's 5-Element Theory freeze-dried organ treats! PET | TAO's dog foods aren't formulated for the nutrient needs of cats, so we don't recommend feeding them to cats. A tiny bit as a treat won't hurt, but they aren't sufficient to meet the nutrient needs of cats. Unfortunately, PET | TAO discontinued their cat food awhile back due to lack of sales. But, we have a solution for you, if you have the time to take it on! PET | TAO created home-cooked recipes for cats on their blog. These recipes are homecooked versions of the commercial cat products they used to offer, and there are additional recipes as well (feline versions of the PET | TAO dog recipes).
