PET | TAO Harmonize GI is a veterinarian-formulated soft-chew supplement designed to support digestive balance, gut microbiome health, and immune resilience in dogs and cats. It combines four digestive enzymes (Amylase, Lipase, Cellulase, Protease), PB6 Bacillus subtilis (1 billion CFU), Bacillus coagulans (100 million CFU), and a Fructooligosaccharide prebiotic to support complete digestion, healthy gut flora, and intestinal barrier integrity. In TCVM, this formula strengthens Spleen Qi and Wei Qi to reduce Damp accumulation and support immune resilience from the gut.
Give Harmonize GI with or just before the first bite of your pet's meal so the digestive enzymes can act on food immediately. Dogs receive 1 soft chew per 1 to 1.5 cups of food at each feeding. Small cats (5 to 8 lbs) receive 1/4 chew twice daily with meals; large cats (over 8 lbs) receive 1/2 chew twice daily with meals. Consistent use with meals delivers the most benefit for digestion, stool quality, and long-term gut balance.
Many allergy and skin symptoms begin in the gut. Approximately 70% of the immune system resides in the gut, and when the intestinal barrier becomes irritated or overly permeable, inflammatory molecules can circulate systemically and show up as itching, ear infections, hot spots, or chronic paw licking. In TCVM, weak Spleen Qi and accumulated Damp and Heat often manifest as skin-level symptoms. Harmonize GI supports more complete protein digestion (reducing undigested fragments that can trigger immune reactivity), restores beneficial gut bacteria, and strengthens intestinal barrier integrity. As the gut environment stabilizes, many dogs experience calmer, more resilient skin over time.
Some pets show improvement in stool quality, gas, and digestive comfort within the first one to two weeks as the gut environment begins to shift. Immune-related concerns such as itching, ear irritation, or seasonal sensitivities often take longer, as the microbiome needs time to rebalance and the intestinal lining must gradually repair. With consistent daily use and appropriate dietary support, most pets experience meaningful improvements in both digestion and immune resilience within four to eight weeks.

I have a 10-year-old, 43-lb., neutered Wheaten Terrier who has successfully lived with lymphoma for five years (after being given only weeks to live upon diagnosis). Among other supplements (including Max's Formula and MycoForte), to support his digestion we have been giving him Thorne Gastriplex in capsule form, but Thorne has discontinued that product. I am interested in your Support GI, yet I have not found dosing requirements on your site, so I don't know how much to order. Please let me know what you suggest.

Thank you for your question! We have a free ebook download about Cushing's that will help you. We also recommend reading this article to figure out the appropriate diet for your dog with Cushing's and also adding Harmonize GI supplement and Complement Immune supplement, along with liver treats.
My dog has megaesophagus due to myasthenia gravis. I would like to make her food and wondered if you could offer suggestions. Also, would the Harmonize GI be good for her? Thanks!
Thanks for your question! In general, we recommend feeding your dog in an elevated manner by placing the food bowl above the point of shoulder at multiple small feedings (3-4 per day). Feed wet food consistency of oatmeal. A warming food, such as Blaze would be best, along with Spleen treats, and Harmonize GI Supplement to aid with digestion and provide adequate probiotics. You can find a homecooked recipe version of Blaze here. Also, be aware of respiratoiry rate as dogs with megaesophagus are prone to aspiration pneumonia. If breaths per minute increases over normal or chronic coughing occurs, then get an exam from your vet for possible aspiration.
In the process of researching supplements for my 13 yo shitzu poodle that was diagnosed with cushings disease in May. I have decided to make his food so want to make sure he gets what he needs. What do you recommend? Thanks!
Thanks for your question, Jenny! It is wonderful you've decided to make your dog's food, we applaud your decision! We believe homecooking is the best option for pets. When convenience is needed, there are wonderful commercial TCVM foods out there as well.
The vendor of Harmonize GI, PET | TAO, has some recipes on their blog you can follow to cook at home for your dog.

Hello, My labrador retriever is fearful but improving with diet and shen calmer. She has occasional fear anxiety attacks causing trembling that lead to diarrhea for several days. It doesn't happen very often and most times is unexpected like the drums from a marching band at the school as we walked by :) Will this product help keep her stools more solid during these episodes?
Hi! Thank you for your question!
PET | TAO Harmonize GI Supplement (120 Soft Chews) and PET | TAO Freeze Dried Beef Spleen Dog And Cat Treats (3oz Bag) could help and it's great you're trying Shen Calmer. You may need additional prescription medicine (this is the case for some pets). However, some pets are helped by a probiotic alone and you can try it. Some customers continue giving the Harmonize GI to their pets to build up beneficial gut bacteria for the future even though it didn't get rid of current diarrhea.
