QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • What is the dose for a 75lb. Dog?

    Thank you for your question!

The manufacturer's recommended dose range for Jing Tang Body Sore Concentrated 90g Powder is the following:

    For dog/cat: 0.1g to 0.25g per 10 to 20lbs twice daily.

It's important to find out your vet's recommendation based on your pet's specific condition since the dosing range is quite large. Some vets recommend starting with a lower dose and increasing based on how your dog is doing. The length of time the bottle will last depends on the dose your vet recommends in that range.

We also require herbal authorization for all purchases, which assures us you're using the most effective herbal formula for your dog. In many cases, there are multiple different herbal formulas for one disease. To request authorization from your vet, click here: https://tcvmpet.com/pages/get-an-authorization.

  • Is this an anti-inflammatory?

Hi, thank you for your question!

    •  It's not technically an anti-inflammatory from a "Western" standpoint because the ingredients have Eastern actions, and this formula is not a "prescription" in a Western sense and is not classified as an NSAID. However, is it known to help with pain, especially musculoskeletal pain, soft tissue injuries, and back pain. In Chinese medicine, the key to relieving body soreness is promoting the free flow of Qi and resolving stagnation.

    • Body Sore contains herbal ingredients that move Qi, activate Blood, eliminate stagnation, and relieve pain. If you have a question about a specific ingredient in the formula we can tell you the TCVM actions for that specific herbal ingredient. For example: the action of one of the ingredients, Lingusticum, is that it relieves pain and activates Blood.
