You don’t have to make sense of every option on your own. Use the ebook to note questions about your dog’s diagnosis, nutritional needs, medications, and potential complementary support, then discuss them with your veterinarian.

Originally published in 2017, this ebook includes specific treatment recommendations, doses, and information about natural approaches. Do not start, stop, or change medications, herbs, supplements, or a prescribed diet based on the ebook alone.

This educational resource does not replace diagnosis or individualized veterinary care. If your dog becomes suddenly weak, collapses, or is otherwise acutely unwell, seek veterinary care promptly rather than relying on the guide.

Informative Article - Always ask your vet to be completely honest with prognosis

The article is very good covering pre diagnosis potential aliments your dog may experience, holistic and medical treatment with drug therapy and pointing out that it is sometimes extremely difficult and a long process to obtain the specific diagnosis of Cushing's. My dog an 8 year old female bull-boxer-pit mix (a rescue I had for only 4 years) showed the first sign at 4:25am on a warm June morning, when she had a grand mal seizure. Then the slow and steady need for more water. We thought all the "water" on her bed in the morning was drool - no smell, no yellowing but chronic, along with very frequent seizures. I see a holistic vet and we ran so many tests and ruled out so many things and I tried acupuncture, manual chiropractic adjustments, diet and supplement changes. The concerns with her wellbeing didn't improve. Several months later the diagnosis of Cushing's Pituitary (tumor) - like the last paragraph on page 20. We opted for medication to control the Cushing's but the tumor grew. She crossed the Rainbow Bridge about 2 months after the diagnosis and starting medication. I concur with the article, in my experience, this is a hard to diagnosis properly illness. My dog seemed to present what looked like uncorrelated symptoms and atypical of the "usual" Cushing's.
Use this article as part of your learning and do more research. Have open and clear dialogue with your vet where you can get honest and timely information to plan accordingly, hopefully have great outcomes and regardless enjoy your pet to the fullest!

So Happy!

My French Bulldog, Hudson, has Cushing’s Disease and I did not want to go with the traditional veterinary medicine. After research I decided to treat him holistically and TCVM popped up. I ordered 3 products geared toward Cushing’s disease and within a week he was feeling better. Within a month he was his old self. I know Cushing’s is not curable but I am so happy all of the products worked and he is not on veterinary meds which have severe side effects. I can’t thank TCVM enough for the education and supplements for Cushing’s Disease and helping my boy! I will keep ordering!
