My horse's acupuncturist/vet is recommending this product for my horse. I am excited to try it, but I am wondering if it is competition "legal". I compete in endurance. Thanks!
Thank you for your question! If you're competing with your horse, it's important to know that some ingredients may be restricted or forbidden by your competitive organization(s).
For example, according to the USEF, the following substances are prohibited: valerian, kava kava, passionflower, skullcap, chamomile, vervain, leopard’s bane, night shade, capsaicin, comfrey, devil’s claw, hops, laurel, lavender, red poppy and rawuolfia. None of these herbs are present in Body Sore. Here's a link to the USEF 2019 guide. Pages 4 and 5 have info related to your question: https://www.usef.org/forms-pubs/2Zp2C_YKs4s/drugs-medications-guidelines
Please note that while other equine competitive organizations may have similar restrictions, you should reference the individual rulebook for each of the organizations you compete under.
What size container is the body sore 90 g
Hi Susan, thanks for your question! The 90g powdered herbs come in a small container and the 90g is the weight of the herbs. If you imagine the container is instead filled with liquid, it would be roughly the size of a 100cc or 100ml bottle of liquid.
Do u have it for horses?
This formula is appropriate for horses when given at the dose of 3g twice daily. The formula is concentrated, so the amount you give is not a large amount.
There is a double sided scoop included in the package, and 3g is equalivalent to 2.5 of the larger scoops.
