My dog has been taking your brand of the sheng mai yin for over a year. She sees a holistic vet. Would you tell me what is in this blend? Does it help with cardiac function ?

This medicine is designed to help dogs with the following TCVM indications: Heart Qi and Yin deficiency, shortness of breath, lethargy, dry and weak cough, discomfort in the chest, deep and weak pulse, and pale or red tongue. This blend contains Mai Men Dong (Ophiopogon, which nourishes Yin), Ren Shen (Ginseng, which tonifies Qi) and Wu Wei Zi (Schisandra, which astringently consolidates Yin).
