Hi! My holistic veterinarian prescribed this medication to my doberman for Wobblers Syndrome two capsules twice daily for 7 days. Is this acute regimen ok? Or is this product better recommended for chronic use?

Hi! Thanks for writing. The manufacturer's general instructions are 0.5g per 10-20 lb body weight twice daily. Use up to 3 months. That being said, your veterinarian knows your pet's individual health situation best and may alter the recommendations at any time depending on the results of the TCVM exam, your pet's health status, other medications your pet is on, etc. In fact, our staff veterinarians often vary from the manufacturer's general recommendations for herbal blends when a pet has special needs. You may want to consider Concentrated 90g powder instead, which would last longer for a large dog because it has a recommended dose of 0.1g to 0.25g per 10 to 20lbs twice daily.  Please check with your vet to see if this formula and dose are appropriate for your great dane's condition. Could you provide me with the ratio between regular and concentrated cervical formula. My dog presently gets 1.2g of concentrated powder, so how many regular strength caps should she get ? Thank you.

Thank you for your question! All concentrated Jing Tang products are double the strength of the regular products.

This means you more regular powder than concentrated powder.

So, if your dog gets 1.2g concentrated powder, she should get 2.4g of a regular strength product.

All products are measured in grams, so 2.4g of regular powder and 2.4g in regular capsules would provide the same amount of herbs.
