PET | TAO Chill Freeze Dried Formula is formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the AAFCO Dog Food Nutrient Profiles for "maintenance".
FEEDING INSTRUCTIONS
PET | TAO Chill Freeze Dried Formula can be used in two ways:
1. As a dry meal mixer, add to your dog's regular meal.
2. As a rehydrated complete and balanced meal, add 12 tbsp or 6 fluid ounces of warm water per cup of food.

Cups of food per day: 1/2 3/4 1 1/3 2 2 1/3 2 3/4 3 1/4
Each bag contains roughly 8 cups unrehydrated freeze dried raw dog food. Optimal feeding amounts vary with age, size, breed and activity level.
Please refer to the feeding chart above as an initial recommendation and adjust food amounts as needed to reach the desired weight goal. Amount of food consumed will vary based on breed, age, activity level, and environment. Consult your veterinarian if you think your dog is too thin or overweight.
Keep the product in a sealed bag. Always wash hands, utensils, work area, and food bowls with soapy, hot water after each feeding. Remove and discard leftovers after 2 hours if the water is added.

Optimal feeding amounts vary with age, size, breed, and activity level. PET | TAO states to use their recommendation as a guideline, and to adjust food amounts as needed to reach the desired weight goal. There are 244 kcal/cup. There are roughly 7 cups per bag.

My dog is a fire and wood dog and seems to need always cooling down . He needs cool foods. But he is also a service dog for my food allergies and celiac. He can not have wheat, barley, or rye. Does chill have anyone of those three ? He cant have chicken, lamb, and venison because of needing cool foods.

If you'd like to make a version of the Chill recipe at home in a slow-cooker, you can omit barley and choose other ingredients that agree with your fire and wood dog. I have a 10 year old Wired Haired Fox Terrier, Dylan. He has kidney issues and has had pancreas issues . He has currently lost strength in his hind legs and paws , some muscle atrophy as,well. He loves your kidney treats . Would like to introduce your food as well. Any recommendations ? Fyi he has a sensitivity to chicken and grains . Beef or turkey are his current proteins. Thanks so much

I have a dog who is 14 yers old, He has kidney stones and he also has cushings. Would this be something I could feed him?
Thanks for your question! We have a number of products that can help support dogs with Cushing's disease. TCVM veterinarians usually recommend energetically cooling formulas for Cushing's. These diets may help support kidney issues as well, especially when rehydrated with warm water. Also, Freeze Dried Kidney Treats can support kidney issues. There are also herbs available for Cushing's that can treat the root causes and deficiencies that lead to Cushing's symptoms. These herbs have to be authorized by a vet, but all PET | TAO foods, treats, and supplements do not require authorization.

105 lb dogs need 7 cups of food per day. Each bag contains roughly 8 cups of unrehydrated freeze-dried raw dog food and depending on how much water you use to rehydrate.
The amount of food consumed will vary based on breed, age, activity level, and environment. Many people with big dogs use freeze-dried food as a treat or topper since it comes in nuggets. It's often cost-prohibitive to feed a large dog for his entire diet.

It's ok- I LOVED the Pet| TAO Harmony Food so much better! And I wish your web-site provided more information about what the Chill vs. the Harmony vs. the Blaze food is good for...how do you know which is best for your pet?? Thank you!

I’m having to substitute this formula for the Harmony freeze Dried food, which has been unavailable for over a month. It’s a little lower in protein and a little higher in fat, which I don’t prefer, but my dog loves it just as much and it’s still PET TAO, which is important to me.

My dog is very old and has leukemia. I tried this and some other treat type things like the spleen and the kidney to try to stimulate his appetite. Occasionally, he will eat this food.
