My cat is old and the vet told us that our has kidney issues. She is about 11 years old. Can she recover. ? What would you recommend?
Thank you for your question!.
I am sorry to hear your kitty is struggling with kidney problems. We have many resources to help you! You can find all of our different blog posts at this link: https://pettao.com/?s=cat+kidney+failure+
We recommend you get a consult with a TCVM vet who can authorize herbs for you. There are many herbs that can help with cat kidney issues. It takes a vet who knows your pet's individual circumstances to determine the best Chinese herbal formula for your pet. Also, we recommend kidney treats and Eastern Food Therapy. You can request approval from your vet here: https://tcvmpet.com/pages/get-an-authorization.
If you can't find the information you need at these links, we also have vets who do virtual consults. You can find them at https://franklintnvet.com/ or https://whiteoakvet.com/. These two vets produced the course PET | TAO offers on kidney failure and all the articles. They are very experienced in both traditional and alternative medicine!
Thank you for supporting Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine!
Can I open the capsule to mix the powder with food??
Thenk you for your question! Teapills are small, hard, pressed herbs, so you won't be able to open them up. However, capsules can be opened, or you could purchase powder instead. Each different form of herbs has the same active ingredients. If you purchase powder, you won't have to worry about opening anything. There is a scoop enclosed in the powder bottles for measuring.
Do you have rehmannia 6 in powder form by Jing Tang, 200g, 7.05 oz.
Thank you for your question! The manufacturer discontinued the 200g Rehmannia 6 powder, but it's still available in 600g powder. However, the manufacturer will eventually discontinue the 600g powder as well, in favor of the more concentrated 90g formulas. You can find the 600g powder (non-concentrated) here: https://tcvmpet.com/products/rehmannia-6-600g-powder-html?variant=14813915480113
Are these sized for a cat?
Thank you for your question! Teapills are the perfect size to give a cat. They can be swallowed or crushed, too!
