QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • Do they make a small capsule instead of the tea size pills? My havanese weighs 13 pounds and now takes the tea size twice a day. My question is for the tendon/ligament herbal. I am having trouble giving it to her, as she might be able to smell it, even though I bury it in cream cheese.

    Thank you for your question!

Teapills are designed especially for small dogs and cats. Jing Tang Tendon Ligament Formula Concentrated 0.2g Capsules #50
is also the best option for your pet.

The capsules can also be taken by small dogs or cats, but they are different from teapills in that they can be opened up and the powder can be sprinkled on food.

We also require herbal authorization for all purchases, which assures us you're using the most effective herbal formula for your pet. In many cases, there are multiple different herbal formulas for one disease. If you'd like to request authorization from your vet, click here: https://tcvmpet.com/pages/get-an-authorization.

  • My vet uses these ones for my dog Jack and did not know the upgraded dosage for more concentrated so we don’t go through a bottle once a week and is willing to substitute a more concentrated dose for Jack who is 120lbs. I just sent in the authorization from the vet Susan Wayne

Thank you for your question! 90g powders are the best choice for large dogs. The manufacturer's recommended dosing range for dogs/cats for Tendon Ligament Concentrated 90g powder is 0.1g to 0.25g per 10 to 20lbs twice daily. 1 small level scoop holds about 0.25g of powder. Your vet can help you decide which dose in that range to give.

  • I get these pills from my vet and she advised to give 1 pill per 10 pounds. Is this the same concentration? Or is there a stronger concentration available? My dog is 120lbs so he requires 24 pills per day. Clarification on the dosage would be appreciated.

Thank you for your question! Jing Tang makes a Concentrated 90g powder for horses and large dogs. This product is more concentrated than what you're using and it would last you longer. It has the same active ingredients as the teapills. We recommend using this product: https://tcvmpet.com/products/tendon-ligament-formula-concentrated-90g-powder?variant=31353789677638. The manufacturer's recommended dosing range for this product is  0.1g to 0.25g per 10 to 20lbs twice daily. Teapills are 180mg, but they are not concentrated.
