Recommended by vet.

This was recommended by my vet for my pomeranians collapsed trachea. I have not seen any improvement. What exactly is it supposed to do an what is in it?

Dear Jackie,

Thank you for your feedback, and we’re sorry to hear that Su Zi Jiang Qi has not yet provided the improvement you were hoping for with your Pomeranian’s collapsed trachea.

Su Zi Jiang Qi is an herbal formula based on Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) principles. It is designed to help support respiratory function, particularly for pets displaying signs of coughing, wheezing, or difficulty breathing due to imbalances in their respiratory system. Its key ingredients include: Perilla Seed (Su Zi) – Helps clear phlegm and ease coughing, Pinellia Rhizome (Ban Xia) – Supports the respiratory tract by helping reduce dampness, Tangerine Peel (Chen Pi) – Aids in improving the flow of energy (Qi) and soothing the respiratory system, and other herbs that collectively target imbalances contributing to respiratory discomfort.

Herbal formulas like Su Zi Jiang Qi work gently and naturally, so they often take time to reach full effectiveness—typically about a month. If you have not already, we recommend checking back with your vet. Sometimes herbal formulas need to be adjusted based on your pet’s specific TCVM pattern, as there are hundreds of formulas available, each suited to different signs and imbalances. Your vet can ensure that this is the most appropriate formula for your Pomeranian’s condition or recommend adjustments if needed.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have further questions or concerns. We are here to help!

I bought it because it is suppose to help with collapsed trachea . I haven’t seen much of a difference but it has only been a month. Hopefully 🤞 I will see an improvement soon

Hi Karen! We are sorry to hear Su Zi Jiang Qi hasn't been helping. It may be a good idea to check in with your vet if you haven't already done so. Often, herbal formulas need to be adjusted. There are hundreds of herbal formulas available, so it's really important your vet authorizes the most appropriate formula for the Eastern signs your pet is displaying in order for it to work properly. Since herbs are gentle, they take awhile to reach maximum effectiveness (often a month after starting). If you don't notice any improvement soon, please check with your vet.
