I don't have a TCVM vet in my area and my traditional vet won't authorize the Four Gentleman product for my cat who is suffering from muscle wasting. Please advise. Thanks
Thank you for your question! Dr. Smith and Dr. Damron, the founders of TCVM Pet Supply and PET | TAO, practice telemedicine and can help you with your cat's muscle wasting. Please contact them at either www.whiteoakvet.com or www.franklintnvet.com to set up a consult. Wishing you and your kitty the best, and thank you for supporting holistic and Traditional Chinese Medicine!
I have an older cat and the vet said that she has some muscle wasting so I thought I would try this powder but what kind of food do you sell that would be best to go with it and how much powder do I give her per day
Thank you for your question! We don't carry cat food at this time, but one of our brands, PET | TAO, has step-by-step recipes based on Eastern Food Therapy you can homecook for your cat in a crock pot. Here's a link: https://pettao.com/pet-food-recipes/.
You may need to contact PET | TAO or your holistic vet if you need help deciding which recipe to use. For example, if your pet has any other characteristics or symptoms, those can lead you toward a certain recipe.
We do carry cat and dog treats, and feeding PET | TAO Freeze Dried Spleen treats (3-5 small pieces a day) can help support muscle atrophy.
The dosing range for Four Gentlemen Concentrated 90g Powder is 0.1g to 0.25g per 10 to 20lbs twice daily for dogs and cats. Your vet can help you decide where to dose in this range. If you'd like to request authorization, you can fill out this form: https://tcvmpet.com/pages/get-an-authorization.
