QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • My cat has IBD. He vomits for 3 days in a row about every 2 weeks. He is currently taking prednisolone every night and vitamin b-12 shots every week. Will these pills help him with his nausea and stomach inflammation? If so, at what dose and frequency. Thank you

    Thank you for your question!

Happy Earth is one of the formulas that helps with digestive issues. However, there may be other formulas, such as Stomach Happy, that may be more effective for your cat.

Harmonize GI may also help your cat!

Please check with your TCVM vet to see which formula is best for your cat's specific situation. It often takes a veterinary consult to determine the best formula for your pet.

Herbs are most effective when given twice a day. The dosing range provided for the manufacturer for this product is  1-2 teapills per 10lbs twice daily.

  • My yorkie has been prescribed Liver Happy Teapills. She has elevated bile acids but no indication of shunt. My question is...do I give this with food or on an empty stomach? She gets one teapill two times a day. I am just not sure of what is the best way, with or without food? She takes Lactulose, Denamarin and Metronidazole as well. Is there anything you can tell me about contraindications with any of those meds? Thank you very much.

Thank you for your question! The herbs are most effective when given with food, and there are no known interactions with prescription medications. A mild side effect noticed when some pets start the herbs is mild gastrointestinal distress. This can be minimized by giving the teapills with food. Thank you for supporting Chinese Medicine and trying Liver Happy!
