QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • Can this capsule be opened and mixed in with my cats food? He doesn't like taking it orally and it stressed him out quite a bit when we have to hold him and push it into his mouth to get him to swallow it. Thank you!

Yes, you can open the capsule and mix with your cat's food. However, some cats do not like the taste. If your cat doesn't like the taste, try mixing with a small amount of something strong that your cat likes. A good example is a bite of tuna.

  • Can this be used in conjuction with other Herbals? Such as Dang Gui Cong Rong and/or Si Jun Zi Tang (four gentleman tea pills) for a geriatric cat who suffers from chronic constipation due to neurological issues?

    Hi, thanks for your question!

Our TCVM vets often use multiple herbal formulas together.

There are several TCVM herbal formulas to help pets with chronic constipation. One good example is Jing Tang Fan Xie Ye. A TCVM vet needs to help you choose the right formula or combination of herbal formulas based on your pet's varied symptoms. Working with a TCVM vet also helps ensure you can fully resolve your pet's issue.

We recommend you contact your vet for help to make sure Fan Xie Ye is right for your pet.Ā
